Looking for a Donair in downtown Dartmouth?  Diala’s now has Donair added to their lunch time menu! Diala’s Café is located in Belmont house on the corner of Alderney & Ochterloney. Diala’s has a multitude of items on her lunch menu, anything from a basic tuna sandwich to shawarma or the special of the day. Diala has been running the café for a couple of years now, and has made several improvements to the dining area which has given a more café style ambience. Diala not only runs a full service café she offers catering as well.

One favorite of mine at Diala’s Café is the homemade oatmeal raisin cookie, especially when I can get it right out of the oven! Some days I do not make it in time as the freshly baked tray has been purchased within minutes of leaving the oven. Diala will often make more within a few minutes to satisfy your craving.

Diala had her 3rd annual open house for her customers just last week. Cake, punch, and candy canes were served! Diala really values her customers and knows most, if not all, by name. Diala’s is another great example of why downtown Dartmouth is awesome. How nice is it to go somewhere be greeted by name and receive service that goes the extra mile to make you happy? –hard to find that nowadays, unless you live, work or visit downtown Dartmouth!

Diala’s is located at 33 Alderney, right on the corner of Alderney and Ochterloney. She is open Monday to Friday 8 am – 4 pm.

Jen was raised in the Highlands of Cape Breton and learned first hand the beauty the world has to offer, especially on the East Coast. During the week you can find her on the soccer field playing for Dartmouth Storm Propellor, and on the weekend hopefully hiking one of the beautiful trails around the city and gardening in her community garden. Her day job is supporting local employers with their Employee Health Plans.
