Monday morning began with major rainfall, however the skies cleared for a beautiful day on the course for sponsors and golfers. This past Monday was the annual Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation’s Golf Classic and it was the 26th successful year! This tournament supports the purchase of medical equipment at the Dartmouth General and since its inception has raised over $800,000.
The event plays host to many returning sponsors and players year after year. The event was held in the heart of Downtown Dartmouth at the historic Brightwood Golf and Country Club. It was a best ball tournament with lots of fun events going at each hole courtesy of the sponsors. A lovely dinner was put on and prizes were handed out.
There were various national sponsors as well as many Dartmouth based businesses showing their support. This year the funds raised from the tournament will go towards the redevelopment of the 3rd an 4th floor at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Construction is underway and everyone is looking forward to the new revitalized patient care units.
